Don't miss the latest from Tidelift

Next week is the first ever Maintainer Week—a weeklong event for open source maintainers to gather, share, and be celebrated. Tidelift ecosystem strategy lead Josh Simmons and Kara Sowles, senior open source program manager at GitHub, joined our friends Adam Stacoviak and Jerod Santo of Changelog to share all the awesome details about Maintainer Week in this week’s Changelog episode.

Of course, we are exceptionally excited for Maintainer Week this year because we kick it off next Monday, June 7, with Upstream, a day dedicated to maintainers and how the power of upstream thinking can help make open source work better for everyone. We’ve been pulling together an amazing, inspiring lineup, including excellent speakers from AWS, GitHub, Facebook, Google, Red Hat, and tons more. You won’t want to miss it! You can register for Upstream here

Josh shares more details about the Upstream schedule (which is looking amazing! Check it out!) and how Tidelift joined forces with GitHub to kick off Maintainer Week—spoiler alert: it was absolute serendipity.
