Don't miss the latest from Tidelift

Meet Material-UI core maintainer Olivier Tassinari. Olivier is a software engineer from France, and he’s a core maintainer of Material-UI, a JavaScript library that helps you build React components for faster and easier web development.

Olivier and his co-maintainer, Matthew Brookes have been providing assurances for Material-UI through Tidelift for quite a while. We spoke with Olivier a year ago about how he first got into software development (it all started with the ultimate childhood question: LEGO vs Playmobil).

When he joined us for our maintainer event a few months ago, we sat down with him again to learn more about his journey as an open source software maintainer, why he signed up with Tidelift, and what’s new with Material-UI.
