We are looking forward to heading back to Salt Lake City to celebrate 20 years of PyCon US! We are grateful for the opportunity to hang out with the Python community in person again this year. PyCon US is the largest and longest-running annual gathering for the community using and developing the open-source Python programming language.
If you’re attending, look for our orange booth. We’d love to share with you how Tidelift provides a proactive approach to managing open source effectively for application development teams. We’d also love to discuss how we have expanded our maintainer partnerships and impact in Python this year, and why. We are investing in a strategic, whole supply chain approach to engaging with maintainers of packages that need the reliable income to do the work required for securing the open source software supply chain.
We also think you would enjoy one of our webinars, “How the maintainers of urllib3 keep the project secure and healthy.” Tidelift’s VP of Product, Lauren Hanford, sat down with urllib3’s lead maintainer, Seth Michael Larson, to discuss the maintenance and security strategies of one of Python’s most downloaded projects (250 million downloads a month!). You can read a recap of the webinar here or watch the webinar for free on-demand here.
Bonus! If you stop by our booth, you can enter a chance to win an awesome Star Wars LEGO set.
