Upstream is less than 3 weeks away! This free, one-day virtual event is a celebration of open source, the developers who use it, and the maintainers who make it. We have over 30 talks lined up, with keynotes like Deb Bryant from Red Hat, Aeva Black from the Azure Office at Microsoft, and John Mark Walker from Fannie Mae.
Here are 3 reasons you should register for this awesome June 7 event:
It’s the only tech conference bringing together open source maintainers and enterprise open source users to celebrate all the amazing things we’ve accomplished. Example: our awesome keynotes all come from enterprise organizations, but also in the line-up are maintainers like Seth Michael Larson, of popular Python project urllib3, and Zhuyuan Ju, who maintains Apache APISIX Dashboard.
We have an amazing agenda lined up. No, for real. Our speakers have knocked it out of the park. ⚾️ For example, just in one hour-long block we have Rizel Scarlett from GitHub discussing how you can overcome your fear of contribution to open source, followed by Julia Ferraoili from Cisco sharing a social model of open source, and all the dynamics that are fit to print.
And that’s just two talks in an hour! You can check out the whole agenda here.
You’ll leave the day with more wind in your sails—and a toolkit of actionable items you can do to make open source work better. 🔨
One of our goals at Upstream is to not just talk the talk— we want to leave the day with a to-do list, so when we come back in June 2023, we can discuss all the ways we’ve made open source better than ever.
