Developers love open source. It’s free, it’s easy to use, and it’s flexible. But the more open source components brought into your organization’s application, the more complicated everything gets.
How does your team keep track of everything and ensure the code is secure and up to date? Our recent survey data shows that the larger an organization gets, the less confident they are in their open source code. In companies over 10,000 employees, 39% are not very or not at all confident their open source components are secure, up to date, and well maintained.
Don’t fret, though—because we’ve been working with our friends at JFrog to create a simple solution to this problem. So simple, in fact, that we turned it into a children’s book called Cooking with Tidelift and JFrog.
You’re invited to a live reading of Cooking with Tidelift and JFrog taking place Wednesday, February 10 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET. If your kids are schooling remotely, bring them in for the first 10 minutes, where they can hear this the riveting tale.
Bonus: Teach your kids about good open source supply chain management while they are young, so we can live in a future devoid of supply chain attacks like SolarWinds. But don't let fear of open source supply chain attacks stop you in your tracks, because we are here with a solution.
After the reading, JFrog Senior Product Manager, Mark Galpin and Tidelift co-founder Havoc Pennington will demonstrate how the Tidelift Subscription and Artifactory on the JFrog Platform bring the Cooking with Tidelift and JFrog story to life. We’ll demonstrate how your organization can accelerate application development and reduce risk by creating catalogs of known-good, issue-free open source components.
Here’s the schedule:
2 p.m. ET: Storytime
2:10 p.m. ET: Technical Discussion
2:50 ET: Q&A
